i heart faces :: camera phone

of course, this being a camera phone challenge, my daughter is in this photo!  aren’t camera phones the best invention?  even if it’s not super high resolution, it still captures an image, and as a results triggers an influx of memories and emotions telling a story.  and that’s what photos are about, right?  and how wonderful that i ALWAYS have my cell phone on me!  i took this using INSTAGRAM – one of my fav iphone photography programs.  here’s my daughter at top pot donuts here in seattle – ready to take on her biggest challenge yet.  move over mini cupcakes and cookies… a new sheriff is in town.

Really great shot!

i heart faces :: winter wonderland

unfortunately there wasn’t any real snow when we went hunting for our christmas tree at the alpine meadows tree farm this winter.  this was the all the snow that was to be seen that wet, soggy day.  there’s certainly a large amount of curiosity and wonder – about the different kinds of christmas trees, about cutting the tree down, about planting a new one in its place, about getting your tree shaken of debris… but most of the wonder probably went like this… “i wonder when i get hot chocolate…”  or “i wonder if i really look like a christmas tree…”

If that is not the cutest little face ever…. I don’t know
what is. Oh my goodness. I love this picture. Sort of happy for you
that you don’t have to deal with snow. It is too cold.

i heart faces :: paper

what says paper like paper mache?  nothing.  now that we’re snowed in here in seattle, we have some indoor time on our hands… let’s rip up the yellow archaic info source- the yellow pages, mix up some flour binder glue, and get messy!

awwww she looks like she’s really concentrating hard on her artwork! Love it!

Love the look of concentration on her face—you can almost feel the sticky stuff on your fingers….

i heart faces :: silhouettes

this week’s i heart faces theme is SILHOUETTES.  i’m so excited to share this picture of my two most favorite people ever – my husband and daughter!  we have a house with a great view of the olympic mountain range.  summertime was full of breath-taking beauty, with the clouds and wind and sun creating these amazing landscapes with the most vivid colors.  pink, blue, purple, orange, yellow, red – and everything in between!  it was like an everc-hanging bob ross painting!  (you know you could watch that show for hours – i know i can!)
